Vail/Beaver Creek

The Cheyenne Ski Club returns once again to the world class skiing of Vail and Beaver Creek for its March trip, leaving from Cheyenne on Friday March 16, and returning on Sunday, March 18.

We will be staying at the Inn at Riverwalk in Edwards (www.innandsuitesatriverwalk.com). The Inn is located on the banks of Eagle River, in the heart of a district offering some of the finest dining, entertainment and shopping in the Vail Valley. The Inn has a heated outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, exercise room and free continental breakfast.

Beaver Creek (beavercreek.snow.com) and Vail (vail.snow.com) are consistently rated among the world’s top ski areas. Beaver Creek offers 1625 skiable acres, and Vail has 5289 skiable acres. A SkE card, Buddy Pass or Colorado Pass will help make lift tickets affordable, and the club is working again to get the discount coupons for lift tickets we were able to provide last year.

Our Saturday night stay happens to fall on St. Patrick’s Day. While our club social event could include an Irish theme of sorts, the Vail Valley promises offer plenty of options for those who wish to spend the evening drinking green beer and kissing the Blarney Stone.

Cost of the trip is:

Single: $ 430

Triple: $ 210

Double: $ 265

Quad: $ 185

Trip Captains are Don (strings@yahoo.com) and Helen Gerstein (helencg@juno.com)  You can express your interest and get your name on a no-obligation list at any time. Official sign-up begins at the first club meeting in January, when deposit and payment will be accepted.

For more information call 638-2553, 631-4120 or 220-0988.
