Ski Club
2006
- 2007 Season
OCTOBER 21
Join us at the 12th Chili Supper at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 507 West 28th
St.
Membership signups begin at 5:30 and the chilis will be available for your sampling
at about 6:15. Here's your chance to find out about all our trips, talk with area reps,
and just have a great evening in general. Cost is $5 for those over 12.
You'll find a wealth of door prizes and giveaways during the course of the evening.
NOVEMBER 2
Our first regular meeting will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall beginning at 7:30.
Our new signup policy ensures that trips later in the season will have room for you to
join us,
so come and get information on everything we're doing. You'll be able to sign up and
make
a deposit for Winter Park and Jackson tonight, and let us know of your interest for
Aspen/Sunlight, Vail/Beaver Crek and A-Basin.
You'll also get tips on conditioning for the slopes with a presentation
from a trainer at
CRMC Health & Fitness Center.
NOVEMBER 4
The day trip to the SnowSports Expo is becoming a tradition, with an
opportunity
to see and purchase the newest gear, talk with equipment and ski area folks, and maybe
even win some lift tickets. We're leaving the Game and Fish Overflow Parking Lot at
8 AM and carpooling to the Convention Center in Denver,
where the show opens at 10AM. After we're through there,we'll stop for a
snack on the way home. Admission to the show is $10 or $7 with the coupon here.

There's no easier way to enjoy a ski or snowboard weekend than to join
the Cheyenne Ski Club. Our alpine trips are usually on chartered bus to a downhill
resort, so all you need to do is sign up, then show up at the bus with your gear.
We'll handle the driving and accommodations for you, and even provide some tips on getting
the best lift ticket prices.
Our Nordic program continues to gain in popularity, and these smaller, more intimate
trips tend to fill rather quickly. With group cooking and carpooling, they have a
distinctly different feel than do the alpine trips.
Please note that we're utilizing a new signup system for the alpine trips to
assist both the membership and the trip captains. Read about it here.
Details for next season are finalized, and it's going to be another great one! For an
overview, take a look at our calendar. Like last year,
our meetings will generally be at the Knights of Columbus Hall at the 507 West 28th Street
on the first and third Thursdays of each month (November through April), but occasionally
we'll move to another site, or even to another day. Keep up to date here on these venues as well.
